Notice of Clarification
It is the responsibility of each Team Manager and/or Coach to ensure that his players sit out their appropriate suspensions. When in doubt as to their relevant suspensions, contact the League President or his delegate.
Note: The following represent minimum suspensions. Additional suspensions may be imposed wherever conditions and circumstances warrant.

A printed copy of this Notice must be kept in each Member Teams Dressing Room at all times.
A. Rule 4.7 - Gross Misconduct
First Offence 1 Game
Second Offence 2 Games
Third Offence Suspended Indefinitely - Must appear before Junior Council Executive
B Rule 9.2 - Abuse of Officials
First Offence 1 Game
Second Offence 2 Games
Third Offence Suspended Indefinitely - Must appear before Junior Council Executive
C Rule 6.4 - Checking from Behind(Major & Misconduct)
First Offence 1 Game
Second Offence 3 Games

D Rule 6.7 - Fighting & Roughing
Instigator or Aggressor in the last 10 minutes

Accumulated Fighting Rule
Any player who accumulates eight (8) fighting penalties under Rule 6.7 over a ten (10) game interval shall be suspended for two (2) games and the players record shall revert to zero.
If the player has a second offence of eight (8) fighting penalties over ten (10) games, he shall be suspended five (5) games.
E. Leaving the Players Bench or Penalty Box for the purpose of getting involved in a fight or
starting a fight

F. Line Brawl
For the purposes of this section, a line brawl will be defined as two or more fights during the same stoppage of play.
The team defined as being the instigator of the line brawl
All players 2 Games
The Coach will incur the following:
First Offence 2 Games
Second Offence Suspended Indefinitely - Must appear before Junior
Council Executive
If no team is deemed to be the instigator
Initial Fight Hockey Canada Rule
All other players involved 2 Games
G. Any player who becomes involved with fans and is penalized shall be suspended
for two (2) Games
Any Coach who becomes involved with fans and is penalized shall be Suspended Indefinitely - Must appear before Junior Council Executive.
H. Pre/Post Game Altercations
Any player involved where Majors & Game Misconducts are assessed 2 Games
Coaches Suspension 2 Games
Any team involved in pre/post game line brawl Fine TBD
I. Rule 9.6 - Molesting Officials
Match Penalty under Rule 9.6 Suspended Indefinitely - Must appear before Junior Council Executive
J. Match Penalties
Hair Pulling 2 Games
Grabbing Face Mask or Visor 2 Games
Spearing 2 Games
Butt-Ending 2 Games
Kicking 2 Games
Head Butting 2 Games
Deliberate Attempt to Injure 3 Games
Note: Where an injury occurs in any Match Penalty situation and the injured player misses
games because of the injury, the player receiving the penalty shall be suspended
indefinitely pending a review by the Junior Council Executive.
K. Other Match Penalties
Spitting (Rule 9.7) 2 Games
Slashing (Rule 8.3) 2 Games
High Sticking (Rule 8.2) 2 Games
Cross Checking (Rule 8.4) 2 Games
L. Any Coach, Player or Team Official who makes derogatory remarks in public or through the
media regarding the Branch, Leagues or Officials shall be fined (fine TBD).
Note: All Coaches or Team Officials under suspension for any reason shall not be allowed
in the dressing room or players bench area from 30 minutes before game time until
15 minutes after the conclusion of the game and shall be seated in the area of the
arena farthest from his team’s bench until his suspension is served. Any violation
will result in an additional suspension to the Coach and the Team will be fined (fine
TBD).
